Over the past 11 years, motorcycling has
become one of my favorite pastimes, and some of what I consider my best
photographs were taken while riding and traveling on a
motorcycle. Below is a "self portrait" I took in front of a place
called Red's Tire Shop just outside Dawsonville, GA. As you can
see, the shop had that timeless "Classic American" look of the 40s and
50s that made it a great backdrop for a photo of a "cruiser style"
motorcycle (even if it wasn't a "Classic American" bike.)
Sadly, Red's has since been sold and modernized by a new owner, and I
lost a favorite location for motorcycle photographs, but at least I took
several photos like this one before it changed hands.
